Cory McCullick was a 30 year old from Bangor who lived every day to its fullest. On June 25, 2018, while playing co-ed softball, Cory collapsed due to cardiac arrest and was unable to be revived. Cory was full of life and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend to many. He is missed terribly by all who knew him. Cory loved sports, and he loved being an uncle. Cory’s nieces and nephews reside in Bangor, Fennimore, and Seneca. Cory also enjoyed supporting many different benefits by participating in their charity sporting events, joining a motorcycle ride, or even monetarily donating to the cause. As a child Cory had open heart surgery, and had spent most of his adolescent life doctoring for various issues. He and his family have always understood the burden that families go through when their children have medical issues.
UCS was developed in 2018 to assist youth attending sports camps/events, purchase personal sporting equipment, as well as helping those families whose children have medical issues with gas/food/miscellaneous gift cards. UCS recently expanded it’s donation base and will now be assisting youth with other various needs such as scholarships, gifts, supplies, and anything else they may need. Although we feel post high school education is important, it’s not the only path that students decide to take. We understand that entering the workforce also comes with expenses. Whether it be union dues, fees for certification courses, equipment, or even tools and supplies. To apply or nominate someone for an Uncle Cory Scholarship, please send an email to [email protected] or contact a family member. |
